Over Labor Day weekend in Tulelake the SHASTA SALUTE TO AMERICA MOTORCYCLE RALLY (http://www.shastasalutetoamerica.com) looks like the place to be! Organizers recently signed The Joiner Project Riders to entertain the crowd with a large array of motorcycle "stunting" maneuvers. Wikipedia defines "Stunting" as a sport recognized by many mainstream venues, such as AMA Superbike races, which sometimes feature professional Stunters as "halftime" entertainment.

Meet and Greet -- You're the Boss
Howdy all ya'all. Wanted to tell you about Josh (Squirrel) Joiner. A professional motorcycle "stunter" from Colorado, Squirrel has dedicated himself to spreading awareness of Hepatitis C.
Just one of the things we're setting up is for Squirrel's road trips. One aspect is to have people at each stop ready to get Squirrel some local love. At every professional stop Squirrel is willing to commit to a chunk of time for anyone to come and talk to him about what-ever. He will have Hep C awareness brochures ready cuz that's his main goal in these meet and greets. If people can set up legal location for a 10 minute demo maybe that will work. A pass the hat for the fuel costs or something each place will be different ya?
Squirrel's a GREAT voice for the cause and he wants to dedicate to spreading the word. No one does it alone yo. Whadoya think? Will you help spread the word and ask local people to contact Squirrel to before he pulls in?

Stunting is the under focused sport of today! Edgy with peril and awe, these motorcycle hot shots have viewers holding their breath and checking their hearts as they take their bikes from a standing start to full-throttle body flying, twisting -- end-up ride upon handle bars extravaganza or a forward momentum bike carrying it's driver with feet on seat and arms outstretched like they are riding the Titanic bow! Yeah, these stunts have professional names but I say it's better described by the watcher than by the tech name.

ABOUT HEPATITIS C
The CDC (Center For Disease Control) states "Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is the most common chronic blood borne infection in the United States". Victims and patients of HCV continue to outnumber HIV by 5-1 nationally (5 million HCV infect vs. 1 million HIV infected). The diseases are similar in that both are spread by infected blood and blood products and both bring negative connotation by infected association. HCV is not an STD.
